J&K Continues Aggressive Outreach Under ‘Hamara Shauchalaya, Hamara Bhavishya’ (Nov 19–Dec 10)

  Sameer Showkin Lone Jammu, Nov 29: Hamara Shauchalaya, Hamara Bhavishya is an ongoing national-level behaviour change campaign under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti , aimed at reinforcing the message that safe sanitation is not just an infrastructure requirement but a foundation for a healthy and dignified future. The campaign positions the toilet as a symbol of progress, preventing disease, protecting children, and ensuring improved quality of life in every household. World Toilet Day: DG Rural Sanitation Launches UT- Wide Sanitation Revival Under #HamaraShauchalayHamaraBhavishya Campaign

  Sameer Showkin Lone Jammu, Nov 19:  As part of the nationwide observance of World Toilet Day , the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, J&K, today launched the campaign with a renewed commitment to strengthening sanitation systems across the Union Territory. In Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiebbAntWpg Marking the occasion, Director General Rural Sanitation J&K, Ms Anoo Malhotra formally launched the UT-wide campaign “Hamara Shauchalay, Hamara Bhavishya” , that focuses on enhancing the functionality, aesthetics, and long-term sustainability of both Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs). Speaking at the launch, Ms Malhotra said: “Jammu & Kashmir has made remarkable progress under Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen.
